In the article “The Right to Fail,” William Zinsser talks about how to fail the right way. William talks about how people always try to apply this to people under twenty-one. Zinsser believes these standards set by society makes failing an almost unspeakable act and that the media shows successful people living the American dream. Failure should be accepted as a part of the growing. William says that this will help to inspire more free thinking and individuality that inspired famous people like Thomas Jefferson and Henry David Thoreau.
