I think that the quote is trying to tell me that if justice is to have a chance then injustice can’t happen. I also think it was a great quote to use in the letter because it fits right in with the just and unjust law points that Dr. King makes. The quote summarizes what is happening in Birmingham right now and if continues then, as King puts it, blacks and others won’t ever have a chance at the rights they deserve. The quote also leads me to understand that we are connected to everyone else in the world and that we are all part of the same, as King puts it, “garment of destiny.”
